NQAPIA talks a lot about asking for what we need, but now is the time to reckon with what we owe. Pride month would not be possible without Black trans women fighting for our rights. Many of our existence in this country would not be possible without the Civil Rights movement, Black Power movement, and Black folks fighting for generations. This is not a moment but a movement. This will not end tomorrow. We need to commit to building together with Black Trans Movement for the entirety of the foreseeable future. |
